So, there is going to be a Tolkien Swap in June (sign ups start in a week) and I decided to marathon Lord of the Rings over the long weekend.

This is the first detailed portrait I've done in a while. I adore the moment in Fellowship of the Ring when Gandalf says the famous 'All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.' I paused the movie and sketched the moment.

The quality is a little iffy because I'm using a phone camera since my scanner died last year. Sad Still, I'm quite happy with it.

Beautiful! It has a dimension that makes it look like the old wizard himself was posing for you. That quality wasn't something you copied from the video screen - you put that in yourself!

Thank you all!

I adore Gandalf and really wanted to catch the sparkle that he has at that moment. I've almost got all the members of the Fellowship sketched out, I just have to finish Boromir.
