I saw this on June 1st and thought what a great idea it is!  Everyone's been posting great work so far  Cheesy

So to join in, I've planned myself a thoroughly modern sampler based on my favourite things Smiley

Here's my day one progress (boring, just some squares):

And day two progress (framework done, can start the fun stuff the next day):

Day 3 (interesting stuff):

All the grid is backstitch.
The red running stitch is waiting for more to be completed in that square.
The stem stitch in the nearby square is just some of my favourite colours.
And you can see my POW square that represents comic books, and that's work-in-progress Smiley

Hope you like it

Your piece sounds like it is going to be very personal to you and interesting!  Good progress!

The POW turned out nicely!

Yay for new participants!!

I am apparently on an Oregon kick lately. Here are my two newest inchies. The first is a little grey raincloud. I love it when it rains here, it always reminds me of my childhood.

The second is for Oregon State University where I am pursuing my BFA.

I like these. With three kids I can manage to find time throughout the day to finish an inch of art. This works for me. Grin

Go Beavers! My wife is an alumni of Oregon State. It is a beautiful campus in a beautiful state. Good luck with your BFA.

Made a little progress.

I've decided my piece will just be 30 squares of stuff that kind of represents me. This one represents my burning desire to win lots of money by some miraculous occurrence! Hence the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow! Smiley I channelled my inner Ludi for this one. I have a long way to go to get to that skill but I'm happy with my effort.

Love your square, Ms. A in Oz. Neat stitches for the rainbow. And I love what it represents for you!
I am still putting thoughts into my ideas of me. This will be kind of a personal journal, and it is always hard for me to put that out there. But I have memories. Some not so good, but I plan to include those anyway. I am calling mine "The Walk of Life".

So some of my squares will be dark. For my dead zones. And others will be happy...with my kids  Grin And pets. And friends. Just a mish-mash of me. My world has been a tumble. But I am back on top and crafting. And sharing with all my happy friends here, too.

Do we have any psychologists that are members??? I sure could use one at times.  Cheesy I plan to jump in soon. I will be late to the party, but I will catch up quick.
I wish I could remember that board game we used to play. I cannot find it on google just yet. I am the one with the crazy snake board game idea. So, I will just be making it up from memory. That will work.

Loving all the craft on here!

Oh, I need to do my alma mater! The Evergreen State College is kinda long, but maybe I could squeeze a geoduck (our mascot) into a square. Ever seen a geoduck? It's pronounced gooey-duck. Our motto was "let it all hang out". If you have a minute, you should google it.  Wink

I LOVE the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. My daughter and I have been known to drive around trying to find the end of the rainbow. And, yes, I know their round.

stillatthetop, I may not BE a psychologist, but I've sure SEEN enough of them. I feel pretty qualified. Like, I earned a psych degree at the school of hard knocks.

I'm gonna try to do some more stitching this weekend. Should help be the calm in my storm. It's been a rough week and I could use the meditation.
