I got to swap with wendiek in the recent IYP.  We chose a monster theme.  First I made a little cyclops robin box..

but it needed a little something to live inside of it.  I settled on a pincushion ring since everyone knows wendiek is an epic sewer..seamstress....needle worker Grin

It's a scrap of polar fleece, a tiny bottle lid from a mini bottle of wine, cotton from a vitamin bottle, animal feet buttons, googly eyes, a pipe cleaner for a tail, and a bell from a thrifted collar.  Oh yes, and a ring blank.  The idea is he can be worn as a pincushion while sewing, either by machine or hand.

Here's how it looked all tucked into it's gift box..

The boxes story is here  http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=433614.0#axzz32Tm2KUv9
