I was fortunate enough to get asked by wendiek in the recent IYP.  We had a monster theme, and I do like to make things practical, so I decided to make her a monster out of one of those small metal lunch boxes.  I think I bought it at a thrift for a buck.  I took the plastic handle off of the lunch box, but I left the metal side supports.  I covered those with FIMO to make the crab claws and baked them.  I made sure to leave them free hanging so they could be moved.  I also made the teeth and baked them at the same time.  They glow in the dark.  The legs are empty plastic thread spools hot glued to the bottom.  I then hot glued the fur over the bottom 1/2.  I put the safety eyes and nose onto some blue scaled fabric.  I cut the posts off and hot glued around the stub to help to secure them on.  I sewed that to the head fur.  I hot glued the top on, stuffing the part under the face to give it more shape.  I left some extra fur on the sides of his "mouth" because they reminded me of a mustache and I thought it was funny Grin.  The ears are glow craft foam, covered with fur, and then glued to the top.  The tail is a fuzzy chenille pipe cleaner and a normal pipe cleaner twisted around, to give it more strength and color and a large glow bead on the end.

Thanks for looking Grin

heheh No worries Wendie.  If I had two active boys I would never end up posting, so I'm impressed that you can post as often as you do Grin  I'm just relieved to hear it hasn't eaten one of them Grin
