midkiffsjoy: it's knotted like macrame Smiley but the pattern could be done in bead work if you wanted to do it that way.

Challenge: Bean-- marshmallow
House: Slytherin
Project name: boo! Ghost!
Project description: I saw the little round ghost and had to make a ghost of my own. I just free handed this.

Class: muggle studies
House: Slytherin
Project name: SxSW Photos with frame
Project description: technicolor and I went to the south by southwest music festival on austin this year and took pictures in a photo booth in the urban outfitters store. I took those photos and an old frame and reinvented it. I repainted  the brown frame in metallic blue and then splatter painted the particle board that came with it. I then painted the outline of some converse shoes in silver paint before placing the photos in the frame with some prismatic letters. (We painted shoes in the store at the converse table)

class- apparition
house-gryffendor
project name-blue girls

description-
since this assignment was to be based on the human body, i started doing a sketch of my daughter. something went wonky with the eyes, so instead of giving up, i decided to just play with it and add sunglasses. some days she seems to be a Metamorphmagus but maybe that's just hormones...

class-care of majical creatures- june comc extra credit

project-turtle atc

in the july atc swap, someone was looking for a drawing of their pet turtle, based on it's photograph. while it may not be of great value, a pet is highly prized by it's owner.

i made a mistake while i was working on it, so i cut the head and arms out, redrew the shell, then layered them onto the backgroud so he pops out a little bit. i think he's pretty cute.

~*COMPLETED OWL HEADER*~
OWL Subject & Option (if available): Transfiguration, Option 1
House: Slytherin
Project Name: Gotham City Car mat
Brief Description: I transfigured fabric, felt, and embroidery floss into my own version of gotham city to make this car mat. I have Poison Ivy's park in the center, Cat's cats, Riddlers Tourist Info, Harley's casino, Penguin's ice rink, Joker's house and the GCPD. I made the roads from an old pair of dress pants and found the base fabric at Walmart.

~*OWL PROPOSAL HEADER*~
OWL Subject & Option(if available): Care of Magical Creatures, Option 1
House: Slytherin
Project Name: Eagle Rug
Brief Description: I find eagles to be pretty magical creatures. For my COMC OWL, I am going to study the eagle and create a rug. The base will be knitted and then I will be using felt to add some feather details, and I will be creating a 3d head for the eagle.  The knitted parts should take approximately 3 weeks, and then the felt pieces and head should be another 2 or 3 weeks.

Class/Challenge/House Pride: History of Magic
SPEW: N/A
House: Ravenclaw
Project Name: Skillet Handles
Project Page Link (if available): http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=434911.msg5234234#msg5234234 (swap thread)
Brief Description: I first learned to crochet from my mom, and once I could crochet a decent square shape (you definitely don't want to see my first ever attempt!), the first project she taught me was pot holders. These aren't quite the same thing, but when I found myself claiming someone for these spiffy skillet handles in the ongoing Pinterest swap, I realized that these recalled my first crochet lessons remarkably well.
