I wish I could jot down my patterns and repeat a purse that I make. I always seem to just wing it like I did with this one. I used two and a half placemats to construct the outer body and the handles. It has a magnetic closure and I used the upholstery fabric for the inner lining and side pockets. The placemat was so structurally sound that I didn't need to use any stiffeners/interfacing in the purse.

beautiful...I have been admiring all of your placemat purses...they are a nice design and the combo of materials really makes them interesting as well...

love the outside pocket---so useful for those pens and phone!

Thank you. I like making them , but I don't like them looking like placemats. I want to purse to come forth and then have folks wondering at the materials. It means I work slower, but I like my end results.
