I got started today! Yeah. Did not get far, but got some of the staging parts done. You know, prime, paint, sew, let dry, stuff, sand. And all the pieces are all over the room.

It's been so busy, work crisis, pot-luck picnics (must they all happen the first week of June? Gardening. Finding my lost wedding ring! I had lost it two years ago. Took it off to drum, put it in my pocket and never saw it again. I had given up looking for it and was saving money to replace it. Custom made of course and the price of gold has gone up.

Then the washer quit working and in the repair process found the ring in the pump! Plus keys, screws, coins, nuts and lots of yucky stuff.

So assembling a spool creation just seems to fit into the start of summer craziness.

I'm just finishing up now too, waiting on a thing to dry before gluing.  It's so different from what others have done so far, but I think I like it, and hope you will!

I made huge progress today. The ___ is done, the paint is drying, the glue is setting. I still have bits and pieces to assemble, but I am close to the final. I guess all the thinking and day dreaming about the project paid off. And I only purchased one item! The spool. I actually purchased several spools and one turned out to be just the right size.

I am loving the gallery. So much fun.

Have hit technical difficulties, but I'm stubborn, so am finding a way around the problem.
I refuse to be beaten by craft supplies.

whenindoubtsew....it never turns out the way you envision....just hope it turns out better or just as awesome and different. If only I could project my visions directly from my mind!  And I really like how it is turning out....probably no where near what you are thinking. Hehe!

cackle....sometimes the craft supplies just have to have their way! Stubborn things! But if you can tame them, let us all know the secrets.

Yes, the "Maker Mind Machine" that with the touch of a button takes the brilliant idea from one's mind and turns it into a stunning work of art!   Cheesy
