I cannot believe how busy this summer has been!  School starts on Monday (eek!)  Shocked.  I apologize for not commenting on all of the truly amazing work that's been submitted this season.  Before things get too busy next week, I need to get in one final project dump.

Prompt: July - Midnight Opening
Team: Multimedia
Event:
Craftology
Project Name: Up Altered Puzzle Piece
Brief Description: I made this for a Disney-themed puzzle in the recent altered puzzle swap.  Besides being a wonderful movie in its own right, Up is the first film I ever saw with DH.  Smiley
Project Picture:

Prompt: August - Battle Royale: Fire
Team: Multimedia
Event:
Craftology
Project Name: Fire Altered Puzzle Piece
Brief Description: I made this for a Four Elements-themed puzzle in the recent altered puzzle swap.
Project Picture:

(Bonus Pic - I'm deciding to compete for Fire since I like that piece better, but I also did an Air themed piece for the same puzzle)

Prompt: August Flash Mob - August is Happiness Happens Month
Team: Multimedia
Event:
Yarnology
Project Name: Crochet ball
Project Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wBmqBHNLb9E&list=PL9C637493FA54B30A&index=9
Brief Description: I'm learning to crochet!  I'm taking lessons at a local yarn shop with a couple of friends.  Amigurumi has always been on my list of most admired crafts, but I always figured it would be way beyond my ability and take forever to learn.  However, so far I am completely in love with it, and I feel like I am progressing pretty quickly.  I found this tutorial video and used it to start teaching myself how to crochet in the round.
Project Picture:

Prompt: August - Taste the Rainbow
Team: Multimedia
Event:
Yarnology
Project Name: Crochet Practice #1
Brief Description: I crafted this, uh... decorative pot holder?... as a homework assignment for my crochet class.  Although the lighting is awful in this picture, the yarn is brown with yummy-looking "sprinkles" of red, green, blue and yellow throughout.
Project Picture:

Prompt: Rhinestone Cowboy
Team: Multimedia
Event:
Craftology
Project Name: Quotes altered puzzle pieces
Brief Description: I made these two pieces for a quotes-themed puzzle in the recent altered puzzle swap.  I used a shiny silver paint pin to add the stars/lightning bolts.
Project Picture:

Prompt: Version 2.0
Team: Multimedia
Event:
Yarnology
Project Name: Crochet easter egg
Project Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7hWSMbMbohU&list=PL9C637493FA54B30A&index=13
Brief Description: This pattern is essentially just an edit of the crochet ball I posted above.  It's also been altered by threading through the white yarn to make a zig-zag pattern.
Project Picture:

Prompt: String Theory
Team: Multimedia
Event:
Yarnology
Project Name: Crochet ghost
Project Link: http://craftyiscool.blogspot.com.au/2011/01/wanna-make-monster.html
Brief Description: The pattern is actually for a baby monster, but since I was using white yarn, I decided to make him a ghost instead.
Project Picture:

Prompt: August - Secret Stash
Team: Multimedia
Event:
Yarnology
Project Name: Crochet Practice #2
Brief Description: More homework for crochet class, this time using yarn I bought months ago for a swap.
Project Picture:

Prompt: Red Alert - Perseid Meteor Show
Team: Multimedia
Event:
Craftology
Project Name: Space Traveler puzzle piece
Brief Description: I made this space traveler for a universe-themed puzzle in the recent altered puzzle swap.

Vincent, I love that you are taking crochet classes. I have always wanted to knit, but it seems to be one of the few crafts that continues to elude me. The blue ball... uh... ahem. The crochet ball, in-the-round, looks great! It seems to me that next season we'll be seeing little arms and legs on those things. Keep up the great work!

I really enjoy your handmade cards Bunny. Such a sweet sentiment. I think it's wonderful that you celebrate your humor.

pishaw - You continue to impress me with your house projects!  That takes so much energy and dedication to get stuff like that finished, and you're doing such a great job!  Wow!  Your hoops are awesome too. Smiley  I love all the creative fandom stuff this whole group creates!

artscandice- This may be my third time or so commenting on that octopus of yours, but I really can't praise it enough, so here you go: AMAZING OCTOPUS!!! XD  That is seriously so fun!  I would spend ages posing it with all sorts of things and taking silly photos!

bunny1kenobi - I love both of your anniversary cards, especially the romantical one. Smiley  It's really elegant, and I love the Shakespeare quote.

vincentvanbuck - Wow, you've been busy!  Those puzzle pieces are all so cute; I'm sure your partners will be thrilled!  I especially like the quilling on the "Up" one, and the "Stars can't shine without darkness" quote one. Smiley  Oh, and the universe one at the end!  Also, your crocheting is looking great!  A class sounds like a fantastic idea.  I've also been intimidated by the idea of making amigurumi, but they look so cute!  Looks like you're well on your way to making more awesome ones!
