Ezri_B, that is too funny!  Definitely the most original award presentation I've ever seen.  Wink

Here's the last of the first wave of cards I've made for the June Ongoing ATC Swap.

Prompt:  Team Spirit - Fandom
Team: Multimedia
Event:
Paperology
Project Name: Ghibli Matryoshka ATC
Brief Description: In high school, I loved anime (it's what lead me to study and later major in Japanese in college).  While it is not a very big part of my life anymore, I still have a soft spot for Studio Ghibli films.  I love Ghibli films for their tone (always family friendly, but with a serious/wistful note that somehow seems very Japanese and makes them engaging for adults as well), and their iconic characters.  This card opens up three times to reveal 4 different characters from various Ghibli films: Kaonashi from "Spirited Away", Calcifer from "Howl's Moving Castle", Little Totoro from "My Neighbor Totoro", and a Soot Sprite from "My Neighbor Totoro/Spirited Away".  (The soot sprite is carrying konpeito, a Japanese crystal/star shaped sugar candy, which it eats in the latter film.)  The design idea was borrowed from a matryoshka card blupaisan sent me in my very first ATC swap here on Craftster.

    Hahaha! I love it!
You should keep an eye on this RHPS idea thread. Not sure when it will happen, hopefully in the next year.

    Battle/Challenge: Take a Hike
    Team: Multimedia
    Event: Craftology
    Project Name: Bumble Rock
Brief Description: For this challenge I chose a nice small, round rock and painted a bumblebee. I placed it in my mom's rock garden and that is it's new home.

    Battle/Challenge: Best things in Life
    Team: Multimedia
    Event: Craftology
    Project Name: Chopstick Wand
Brief Description: Since I had an extra chopstick from the set I decided to make another wand. This time I just winged it rather than model it after anyone else's wand. I'm also showing a photo of the two wands together to prove that I didn't just submit the same wand again. They look similar but this one has a little bit of gold on it.

Thanks, craftADDchick!  I did drill into the domino.  With the smallest bit I could find.  Wink

I have a bunch of dominoes to use for pendants, but could never find a reliable source for glue-on pendant bails, so I am definitely using your method. And, I think I even have a tiny drill bit!

Thanks!  I printed the text out on regular computer paper first, and then drew/colored on top of it. (Nearly ruined the card by tearing it when applying it with Mod Podge on top of a stiffer blank, but thankfully that didn't happen!)

I can't believe how crisp the text came out, knowing that you colored over it!! Well done!  And, I really like you Ghibli ATC- what a cool way to incorporate multiple images!

Ezri_B, that "Golden Supporter" is a riot! And, that definitely would not go over well with our school board, so I love that your board appreciated it Smiley

mama24boyz, kudos to you for attempting to make amis for birthday goody bags! It came out cute!

Ratfinkz, nice job on the pop tab brooch! I have some red ones someone gave me (from Budweiser cans), and they'd make a cool looking brooch! Now, if I can just remember where they are Smiley

sammylousie40, what a cute bumblebee rock! I love where you've placed it, too. And, now, after seeing both of your wands, I'm kicking myself that I just gave away a ton of used chopsticks. Guess I'll have to order out some sushi soon Smiley

Come join, it's fun!  I don't usually worry about the prompts too much; I just craft whatever I'm making for swaps or my own personal enjoyment, and then worry about figuring out how to tenuously connect them to a prompt later.  Roll Eyes
