I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one with this problem: empty hangers clutter up closets, and when ironing time comes around, you have to gather them in one central spot to hang the new clothes. Typically a basket, because for whatever reason: whenever I put them on the clothes rack, I constantly drop them on the floor. The basket isn't exactly a solution though: that very quickly turns into a hanger spaghetti! I remembered a solution a saw several years back in a retail clothes store, but I've never found anything similar available for purchase in the stores. I did find some on amazon this week when trying to remember how it worked, but why pay for something new, if you've got stuff lying around in the basement that begs to be repurposed? I honestly believe this thing will spare me many headaches. It's currently located next to my closet, and I feed it empty hangers whenever I take something off the hanger, and come ironing time, I just pick it up by one of the legs and tote it along to the living room (I iron while watching movies!) so I've got it available. I don't get why I waited this long to make one!

(Also, I wasn't sure if this was the right board to put it in. It's made from a piece of MDF that put our previous couch a bit higher off the ground, and the legs of my old sewing table, from when I still had a dedicated craft room in our previous rental place.)

So clever! I store my clothes hangers in a laundry basket, and as you said; that's a tangly mess of hanger spaghetti. I should make me one of these!
