Ouroboros by Bee's Knees Industries, on Flickr

I've had this image in my sketchbook for a long time, then sitting in my hoop for a little while as I worked up the courage to try long-and-short stitch, and now he's finally ready to meet the world. I eat watching dogs (or any animal, really) chase their tails, and it always makes me think of the Ouroboros, the snake who eats his own tail, so I stitched up this little wiener dog Ouroboros for a fun project.

Long & Short Stitch attack by Bee's Knees Industries, on Flickr

As I said, I tried long-and-short stitch for the first time while working on this piece, and I put together a little attack along the way, which you can find on my blog.

Thanks! I was inspired in part by the adorable feet of a little dachshund who visited my house recently and managed to make an enemy in my cat. Smiley Photo here: http://instagram.com/p/lszksFhXAn/

Thanks!

Kittykill, my house is full of oddball animal relationships. The cat stalked and attacked the wiener dog, who tried to beat up my pit bull/lab mix. However, the cat is afraid of my bunny, who actually punched a pit bull we were dog-sitting and shows no fear at all.
