My almost 6 yo *needed* the Elsa doll BADLY for her upcoming Bday. But as most little girls' moms know, they're all sold out. So, everyone we knew came to help to find one and (we did!!! but it's a secret Smiley) before we could find it, the little one decided, if we can't find one, I'm allowed to make her the doll. But then she also needs Jack Frost (Elsa's BF/husband, Sven, Olaf and Anna....okay?!). After countless hours of stitching, I finally finished Elsa today- wire frame, felt body, needle felted face and hair).

She's pretty happy with it! Smiley
(I have no idea, who is going to make the rest of the crew :S)

Thanks for looking! Smiley

Thanks, Wendiek! <3 - I really like trying to make the weirdest and cutest things out of felt and I love when the item has challenges and needs some "inventing" to get it to work- like Elsa's nose- the face is polyester felt from Joann's and I didn't have the pink to match, but I wanted her to have a 3D nose - and turns out the polyester felt can be felted onto the face when it's such a small area.

I also went with sewing felt around wire, instead of needle felting, cause the Coraline dolls I made yeaaaars ago are still going strong, where's the felted sculptures get all fuzzy really soon, when being played with.

Cheesy thanks!

Making humans is actually one of the things I haven;t dabbled into much and really want to try, I just never seem to have "enough time" for that (...maybe cause I'm always sitting behind that darn screen browsing what others are doing Tongue).

And I have only made a couple people in all. But it's been lots of fun Smiley
