The past 2 years I have been the captin of my high school soccer team, which means I'm responsible for coordinating get-togethers, summer workouts ect ect. Well one of the girls on the team just had a knee replacement surgery, and I want to get everyone together to throw her a little cheer-up get well soon party since she can't be physically active for 6 months. Any ideas would be greatly appricated.

Rear Window party.  I was in the middle of typing this up, then I decided it was stupid.  So I backed out in the browser, re-read your post and saw your Hitchcock sig line.  So maybe it is and maybe it isn't stupid.  At any rate, you could have a viewing of the original Rear Window (James Stewart not Christopher Reeve).  Serve popcorn, have a polaroid camera sitting out so people can take pictures of "crimes" in progress, etc.  You could even give out tiny toy telescopes as favors.  Maybe you could give your convalescing friend some little craft kits so she has something to do for the next six months when she's not being as active as she'd like.
