It is a dangerous thing when I go to the bead store... I walk in to get end caps.  I leave with the end caps and another $70 worth of purchases on top of that....

But I am finished!

This is how I envisioned it.  In this format, it is 22 inches in length...

BUT...

I made it convertible!

So you can wear it as an 18" viking knit necklace only....

If the recipient has a smaller neck - you can shorten it a bit more by taking away some of the extra jump rings and the extra lobster clasp if you only want to wear it plain - that will drop it down to a 17 inch necklace.

Also, if you want it longer, you can just add a chain of any length between the two clasps.  Or make your own focal.

Also, with the current focal, you can change the alignment of the flowers, and wear it vertically too...

I should say, I made a small booboo and the end wire on one side snapped as I was straightening it out to add the final loop, so the wrap on it is shorter than the other side, but it should not affect the wear.  I could not change it though - sorry Sad

Cute pink bunting too!

I finally decided on what I'll be stitching up in a hoop for this swap- its a nice summer theme so hopefully someone who loves the warmth and sunshine as much as I do will get it Smiley

I picked up a nice skein of Rowan summerspun today... I think it could become a nice lacy scarf.

I have to play now I have fallen in love with that Viking knit necklace, need to have it so I can work out how to make them!!

My main problem is not knowing what to make. I made some black and white sculpey beads yesterday, but they are nowhere near as round as I would like them to be. I need to start work on a bigish project for my mum's birthday, so will see how quickly I get that done and then consider if I have time to make anything for this swap!
