Yesterday I received a great package from adrienne_bowers. We've been swap partners before, so we decided to send extras.
Group shot:

The quilted backing for the crocheted, pink washcloth.

Four hand carved stamps and the cute containers they arrived in. I LOVE handcarved stamps!

The gift that had me squealing - lots and lots of roving and directions for making a spindle so I can make my own yarn - all of it packed in a personalized tote bag.

A felted owl and a tiny box (pansies are some of my favorite flowers). This is the second felted owl I've received in swaps, so he'll have a friend to keep him company.

A close-up of the stamps and two of the clothespins.

A very large doily that definitely took more than an hour and will probably find a home on the antique buffet I inherited from my maternal grandmother. Grin

A pair of vintage boxes in which many of the things were packed, a bag of candle wicks, and a cute plastic bin.

An amigurumi pattern book - - - - written in Japanese! Fortunately I can read the symbols used in the diagrams and one of my daughters can read some of the kanji. Think I'll be able to figure out all the patterns. Not bad for French-Italian-Scottish Americans!

Everything is wonderful but the roving is what keeps calling my name. Think learning to spin my own yarn may have just moved to the top of the "Things I Really Want to Learn to Do" list.
Thank you so much, Adrienne! I'm ready to do this with you again!

I got my package yesterday afternoon from our lovely organizer, Annchen, all the way from Sweden - so I also got the added bonus of ephemera - foreign stamps and postal markings!

She sent me a crocheted shooting star ornaments, with some great raw wool for the tail.

She also sent me these great clay ornaments - stamped snowflakes in pretty shades of blue on white clay - I love the star, but I think my favourite is the cute little mitten.

Last but not least is this cute set of birch tree canvases - they are tiny - 2x2"?  I love the blue she used...

Thank you Ann, for my package and organizing this swap!

Whew! I'm so glad the clay ornaments got there in one piece.

And of course I had to paint birches when I found some on your pinterest... They're one of my favourite trees!

I'll do some feedback tomorrow, but right now I'm going to sit on the couch and stare for a while. Work weekends really suck all energy out of me.

Oh yes - I love birches - I have a stand of them right in front of my house.
