This is my first poppet.  I followed ghilie's pattern as closely as possible...but decided to leave out the ears and tail.

Her hair is a full skein of Red Heart Boutique Treasure in "Watercolors."

I planned on different clothing, but nothing was turning out the way I wanted, so I knit her up a kind of 70s inspired dress instead.  I just made up the pattern as I went along.  The yarn is Patons Beehive Baby Chunky Yarn in "Swifter Sea."

I made her fingers posable by stuffing them with pipe cleaners.

Though she is not what I originally envisioned, I still really love her!

Beautiful! The hair is so fun, and good call to leave off the tall and ears. Smiley

She looks amazing! I love love love her hair, and her dress is so cute.  I've never used the tail when I make poppets. I like them better without.

This is a lovely looking doll.  I think her multi-hued hair is great and putting pipe cleaners in her fingers to provide articulation was a clever idea.
