I love to make quilts.  And I give a lot of them away.  But this last quilt was the toughest of all to give up.  My granddaughter, Julianne asked me to make her a quilt.  She is a girly girl so she needed a feminine quilt.  I think the fabrics give it the femininity it needed.  It is Pam Kitty by Lakehouse.  I used a simple hourglass pattern.  I hand quilted it with perle cotton and added rickrack to the binding.  I just think this quilt is so sweet, I hated to part with it.  But I think the look on Julianne's face makes it all worth it.

Awww. Just keep the kid and the quilt with it...then you can have both  Grin
How super cute. I love the fabrics. And I am not girlie, girl. But they all look fresh and wonderful together.
And her sweet smile tells me that she likes it, too.

it's a lovely quilt and your granddaughter looks over the moon with it. I like how you added ric-rac,girly without being too girly  Smiley
