This is a baby quilt I made for a good friend of mine, who is expecting a month before me.  Smiley  She is expecting a boy & into more modern style than me, so I picked out the Moda Bake Shop Wonky Baby Quilt pattern.  I used charm packs from Modas Mixed Bag line and a textured gray fabric for the front.  The backing is the Mixed Bag blue origami print and the binding is one of the Mixed Bag polka dot fabrics.  The longarming is done in white thread and instead of my usual wandering quilting, I did squared off shapes for a more modern look.

That's a very pretty quilt!
I bet your friend will love it. She is so lucky to have a crafty friend like you.
I like both modern and conservative styles and I think you used a great design.
And I like the grey fabric you picked for the background. Makes it more suitable for a boy and it makes the colours of the circles stand out well.

This is a great quilt.  I love the split circles and the contrast with the square quilting.
