i just received my wonderful package from emilyflew!  its absolutely lovely!!

i sent 'the big orange splot' by daniel pinkwater.  its about a street where all the houses look the same and everyone think the street is very neat.  then a bird drops a bucket of orange paint on one man's house and despite the neighbors requests he doesnt remove the resulting big orange splot.  instead he paints his house totally wacky and puts palm trees, a hammock and an alligator in the front lawn.  one by one the neighbors go talk to him over lemonade and then go and paint their own homes according to their dreams.

so heres everything together

so there's a decopauged house/jewelry box with paints so that i can paint to my dreams (such a great idea!!)  and a felt alligator and palms trees for the front!

a lemonade set- etched glasses (say 'all my dreams'), a package of lemonade and an ice cube tray

magnets that are replicas of the houses from the book

and a notebook with a big orange splot

i love everything emily!!  its obivous you put a lot of effort into everything-i really appreciate it.

I received a very cute package from flirtingwdisaster today! My book was The Paperbag Princess.

Some citrus and ginger body wash with hand written directions on it:
"Use to wash soot off body or to wash away any remaining feelings for that no good prince! Say goodbye to those dragon and prince problems! The citrus and ginger combine to make this extra strong. Use higher doses for very dirty body or very hurt (feelings?)
Avon sparkly hair gel that says "Made for a princess" on it
A hand decorated envelope that says "Elizbeth was a beautiful princess. She lived in a castle and had expensive princess clothes. She was going to marry a prince names Ronald."
A book mark
Some stationery with pictures from the book drawn on them
two packs of tired leg gel
A hair clip painted to look like a dragon, two little green star hair clippys
Some nail polish and lip gloss
A re-vamped pez dispenser made to look like a dragon
and a bracelet with pink beads on it.

Thank you!

i'm happy to see that you thought it was cute, kat_penguino. i was kind of nervous as to what your reaction might be. i had also made a little paperbag dress (to fit a doll) but i forgot to send it.

i like what everyone has received/sent! Grin
