My daughter's room (first pic) was extremely ugly. Oranges and yellows and shelves so high that you couldn't even see what was on them (what was the former owner thinking?). The room was just plain awful and I was very overwhelmed at the project as I knew there would be a LOT of patching to do. But, as I work at an interior decor store, I found some little pieces of wall art that inspired me and I got to work! As I was taking down all the shelving and mirrors and were pretty much nailed, screwed, and cemented to the bloody walls, I was complaining out loud.

I said in frustration, "Why in god's name did this man have to glue EVERYTHING to this wall!!??'

My sweet, innocent little soul of a 6 year old daughter replied, "Because he wanted to make his little girl happy just like my daddy likes to make me happy every day." Talk about melt my heart and make me view it all from a different perspective!!

Anyhow, I went about patching the walls and painting and redecorating and the final product makes me happy.

PS - mind the mess in the first one. I had started pulling everything out and throwing it everywhere before I realized that I hadn't taken a 'before' pic!

Yes, I'm well trained! Smiley

I even trained 2 of my own and 3 others' kids, so we're all good to go Cheesy

*I bet the kids enjoy the rooms- makes me wish we didn't have a rental and I could actually have fun with the rooms here.

Oh man! You come with two others!? Lol I didn't sign up for that!! Ha ha

Yes it is fun having carte Blanche! Can't you still do stuff in rentals if you agree to paint over? I totally understand. We did rentals for years Smiley

We did paint the first rental- dark gray and kind of liek forest green all over the apartment,
(we were 22!)

- so after we had to paint THAT white again, we promised ourselves not to ever paint rentals Cheesy

oh, I guess I forgot to mention, I come with 2 (beautiful and well-mannered) young girls and a 6'3" guy... didn't think that was really a big deal... the people these days overreacting at everything Tongue

(but my girls would love a pretty room like that- I love all about Your girl's room-the bunting and colors... I might have to sneak in a bit of pastel on the walls maybe Cheesy)

Oh and now a dude who's 6'3!! Ha ha ha!! Is he well-mannered, too? Handy? Might as well just start a commune!

And thank you so much. I really love how it
Turned out. And I can totally appreciate not wanting to paint over again. Waaaay too much work if it's not a forever thing.

But yeah...pastels aren't that bad to paint over Wink maybe just an accent wall!!

Accent walls is what I've been hoping for. We'll see if I'll get to this (the 6'3" guys said if I want to do this, it'll be all on me... so even if he [mostly] is well mannered, not so handy, I guess I talked myself out of that adoption here Cheesy).

Looking forward to see what more You'll make!

FoxyBlue did you make the bunting using a triangle pattern or is their a quicker/easier way to cut one out?
