Real Men Carry A Craft Bag!

I came across these small decorative cages at the craft store a few months back and immediately had the urge/thought to make a little bird and put it inside. I was already working on another project and not sure if it was a whim or not so I left the cage there. After a couple more trips I ended up with the cage and a pattern book of pets and animals. I put a blue parakeet inside.

I haven't done any serious backstitching in a while and am so glad I did. I have another cage so I may do another bird.

Thanks for looking.

I like Kit-Kat, unless I'm with 4 or more people.

Oh I LOVE this.  I may end up doing something similar now - no clean up, no food... just pretty!

What a great idea, I love the little stitched birdie in the cage! The stitching looks great, I love all the shade variations in the blues on birdie's chest, well done!  Smiley

I really really love this - I've never seen anything like it! Definitely the best use I've seen for one of those little cages. The vibrant blues you've used in the budgie are great too.
