I've been working on this blanket for a few months, it's a house warming present for my best friend and her husband.

I used the free granny stripe blanket pattern from the blog Attic 24.  It was lovely to make.

I started with a 180 chain (instead of the recommended 240 chain) because I wanted it to be a good size for my friend and her hubbie to be able to snuggle under on the sofa, but not too big to take in my luggage when I visit them (next week!) (They live in Brazil and I live in the UK!) but it turned out quite huge and as you can see is nearly double bed sized!  I used DK yarn and a 4mm hook.  I'm working on making my yarn stash smaller and this blanket helped to eat up 7 balls of yarn.  Yey!

That is fantastic!  Lovely colour choices.  And the blanket gets to be a globe trotter too!

I've used the pattern from Attic 24 too, it is very well written (although mine was much smaller, at a baby blanket)

I have lots of train tickets (I get the train most days), if anyone wants some for papercrafting just send me a PM Smiley
