I saw this idea on pinterest to write postcards home and bind them together for an instant gratification option to scrap booking or similar. I combined it with a tip from here to save all little tickets and business cards when you're on vacation.

Me and my dad went to Scotland a few weeks ago, and I tried it out! I like the result, much recommend if you don't have time for a bigger project Smiley

We were there for eight days, so with one card per day plus tickets for museums and stuff, it makes for a very tidy little book.

Very interesting book. I like how you did the spiral binding. Do you have that machine, or did you ask the copy place for help with that? And a very neat coffee table book, to share your vacation.

And you got to see the Falkirk Wheel?Huh Did you go through it?

I have a machine for it, it's one of my best purchases. Smiley It's a handy little thing, about the size of an iron, with both hole punch and spiral press (you punch once, then move your cards and hook them into a guide to get a good punch for the rest of the way). It'll get its way through about ten papers at once, or one CD Cheesy

And yes, we took the boat tour through the wheel! It's friggin amazing. Lil bit of engineering geekery. Smiley Other geekery bits include the Camera Obscura chamber in Edinburgh, with a functioning 360 view of the city (the "machinery" being from the 1800s)

What a fun idea, and a great way to keep all those little pieces and memories together.
