I went shopping with my daughters this past weekend and we saw one of the original elephant bags at American Rag Cie on LaBrea near Melrose in West Hollywood, CA.  Sure enough they were priced well over $200!  They are cute and adorable but small, and the one's you made are identical.  I have upholstery fabrics and baubles and beads, and looks like I'll be making one too!  Thanks for the tute!

Oooh - be sure to post your photo - I'd love to see it.  Also - I was thinking this would be a lot easier if the elephant was drawn with a straight back.

On the original version was there a zipper on top or was the saddle sort of a flap?

Those are so beautiful!  When I saw "Three Elephant Clutches" I thought that you just must've used elephant fabric to make some cluches, but wowza!
