Marty helped the kids with their Fathers Day painting projects yesterday.  There may be a few moose prints on the picture frames they painted!
LOL Well, hopefully the moose prints just add character to the projects! Cheesy

We went to my friend Cassy's wedding this weekend! It was a four-hour drive away, and unfortunately, the smart driving choice was not the prettier one, so we didn't get beautiful shots of the Blue Ridge Mountains, but we took photos at the wedding!

In front of the beautiful library where they had the ceremony!

Bookish centerpieces!

On Saturday Kahiki came with me to the Paramount studios lot for a filmmaking trade show called Cinegear.  Several of the New York street sets and two of the soundstages are filled with vendors and manufacturers of pretty much any kind of equipment and ancillary products used to make movies, from cameras and lighting to containers and cases, all kinds of electronics, and much more.  Unfortunately it's pretty crowded and not the best venue for photo ops, but we did get a couple that are worth sharing.

In this one you can see one of the soundstages at the left and in the background to the right is one corner of the street set, which contains four or five "blocks" of New York brownstone style facades:

After we'd finished checking everything out and gathering a bit of loot, we walked over to a different part of the lot so Kahiki could get her picture taken in front of the historic Paramount gate, which for decades was the main entrance to the lot, and which you may have seen if you've watched enough old movies....

We came home with a little bit of swag in the form of a few promotional bags and a mug; Kahiki has called dibs on the Radiant Images bag (good choice) and I'll be sending her home with my badge lanyard as well.

Right, catching up with my photos, I've gotten a little behind so I have a backlog!!

So it looks like Burton has been making fast friends with some of my bunch of miscreants, in fact last week I came upstairs one day to find them building a fort, which eventually turned into a war situation, argh!  Mr Loops and I had to break it up in the end, but I think it was all in fun!

Then weekend before last my friend Spammy and I took Burton shopping and sightseeing in Cheltenham!  Here he is looking rather bemused sat between the Hare and the Minotaur Shocked

And admiring the Wishing Fish clock!  He says that next time we go I have to get a video of it to post as it moves and blows bubbles and all sorts every hour

After a tiring morning of shopping we went for Sunday lunch at The Swan, and here Burton is using my shawl as a kind of hammock high chair so that he can reach the table!

Still have Burton's camping and beer festival trip to delight you with, but I'll post that in a day or two Wink

We're exhausted. Mr Crab went with me to the big city for errands, appointments, and shopping. We clocked around 400 miles. The view here literally goes on forever.

Here are cows. The previous animals were buffalo. Mr Crab is pinning all of the animals he sees here as he travels around. We can't get pics of everything so I'll be helping him find stock images. We can't walk out in the fields because we are organic. It is hard to fight new bugs or germs naturally.

He really liked the Jimmy Hendrix stamps at the post office so we splurged on those.

And then we recharged with some refreshing sweet tea and fried chicken. He liked it. He said it tastes just like fish, but not really.

Glad he's fitting in, although I didn't realize he had such a mischievous streak in him!

Still jealous that he is going camping...

The other day I had to run over to the mall (Yankee Candle semi-annual sale time!) and we walked by the famous indoor ice skating rink. Piper was fascinated that there was an ice rink inside a mall in Florida and asked for a picture. Grin

We're behind on the weekly challenges as well. So, "meet the family".

We introduced Uluwehi to our silly puppy. They're fast friends. Silly pup didn't want to share the picture, though...

Damson participated in one of my absolute favorite hobbies... COOKING! I got a new bamboo steamer and we desperately wanted to try it out... so dumplings it was! With chicken and green onions and a little too much ginger...

Also on the blog (with a photo of the finished dumplings too) :

Yum!
