This morning, Mr. Toast and I went to see a few of my students in a Dek Hockey (also known as ball hockey or street hockey) game. Dek Hockey became an organized sport in 1974 in Leominster, MA (where I work, and where the game was).

Here's Mr. Toast with one of my students. She's one of the captains of her team, and by winning today's game, they finished in first place for the season!

Here's Mr. Toast posing for a photo instead at the start of the game:

The big event of the day was the appearance of Rene Rancourt who sings the national anthems at the Boston Bruins games. He came out to sign autographs before his singing of the anthem (scheduled for noon), but the line was crazy long, and Mr. Toast and I were starting to get a little sunburned. It was supposed to be raining today, so I didn't come prepared with sunscreen... My friend took the photo with her phone, and because we were watching the game, Mr. Toast didn't have time to pose for the picture. We didn't stay for the anthem-singing either (Mr. Toast said he could watch him sing on YouTube later Smiley ).

Depending on the schedule tomorrow, we may head out for another adventure, but as I mentioned last night, we're going to tackle something inside the house this afternoon!

So I just realized I put these in the other thread. In my defense, it was 2:20am. LOL

------

Just got home - at 2am! - from celebrating my birthday at Walt Disney World! Piper came with me and had an excellent time too. Here are the cell phone pics I took but many, many more are on my memory cards for upload and edit later.

Click any pic for larger version!

On the tram in the Magic Kingdom Parking lot.

On the monorail arriving at Magic Kingdom!

Cinderella Castle!

I'm exhausted. We actually hit both Epcot AND Magic Kingdom today and then I drove the 1 hr 20 mins back home so time for bed! Grin

Excellent!  And, I do have to say, the dye job on his hair looks much more natural in person than it does on TV...

Mwhahaha! Good to know. Maybe next round I'll have to send my LV your way so my hubby can live vicariously through proximity to the Bruins. Cheesy

If it was hockey season, I could even try to go to an actual Bruins game Smiley I've only been once (very last row...) and once to the Providence Bruins. Or, we could just watch it at a bar on the big screen Cheesy

My LV for this round, Mr. Toast will get to visit Fenway Park, at least once!

Blue Bubun took a relatively short trip downtown today - mostly to a non-scenic and somewhat sketchy area, but he did take a tour through the Sculpture Garden before heading out.

He actually made two trips to Virginia, and drove in almost a complete circle around the Beltway (I think we skipped one stop on a detour). For "dinner", he went to a stinky cheese tasting in Alexandria:

Kahiki has arrived!

And so has Alby...back home!!!

Cant tell from the package what happened; maybe Alby wanted a chance to meet Kahiki and decided to wait for her somewhere along the way.  Whatever the circumstances, they are both safe, thank goodness.

Kahiki brought with her samples of ratfinkz crafting: a lusciously aromatic (citrus mango) heart-shaped soap and a bracelet of glass beads in a lovely shade of mauve (both Kahiki and the soap are brighter yellow than they look here):

While waiting for word of Alby's whereabouts, I made the acquaintance (emphasis on "made") ( Wink) of a small, colorful salamander named Milo:

Milo is 6 inches from tip of nose to tip of tail, quite slim from top to belly, and very flexible (beanie toy-style).  Both he and Alby are excited to travel, so ratfinkz let me know if you have a preference.  Meanwhile, here's a group shot:
