The viking ship is amazing! I can't believe the progress on it. We were going to do some travel today. The weather report says clear skies but it seems we have some 'dropping water sky pellets'. Mr Crab might just have burgers and watch Wes Anderson movies all day.

Challenge: Meet the family

Well my family are over on the other side of the country, though hopefully Burton will get a chance to meet them in a few weeks as they're going to be staying in Hay-on-Wye at the same time that we're camping there handily!  So my challenge photo this week is of Burton meeting the in-laws, Mr Loops' Mum and Dad and their parrots (you can just about see Rex the African Grey just above Burton's head, but unfortunately Millie and Squeak got freaked and flew away from Burton!)

The viking ship is amazing! I can't believe the progress on it.

We're actually pretty far behind schedule (per usual), the weather last winter was terrible. The ship spends 5-6 months in the water, then the rest of the year (winter/spring) on the trailer for maintenance and repairs. Wooden ships are 1000x more work than the fiberglass kind.

Blue Bubun is helping me around the house today - setting up some jars of raspberries and rum to make cordial, and sewing.  Next weekend we are going to NYC for a few days so he will have lots of adventures!

We went to see my brother in The Music Man today and, while I don't have a picture of Mr. Toast with him in person, I have a shot of him with my brother's headshot Smiley I had to crop it because some other cast members faces were in the picture, and the glare happened because I couldn't be fussy (there was a guy kindly leaning out of the way while I was taking it).

We went out to eat afterwards, but I didn't get a picture of us all together...

Challenge: Meet the Family

My son loves Jay. I have to remind him often that Jay is only visiting for the summer and will be returning to his own home one day.

Oh, adorable!!

Poor Buttercup really hasn't gotten around all that much.
I really am a homebody.

But here she is with my Dad out to breakfast last weekend.  We went to a restaurant in an apple orchard, and then on my sister's boat for a bit.  More pictures on the blog.

Awww, AD and Adi look like they're in good company!

This weekend was the hangar dance, swing music and airplanes!  Mel and Tom had a good time listening to the music and enjoying the snacks...

And hanging out with good friends...

Marty helped the kids with their Fathers Day painting projects yesterday.  There may be a few moose prints on the picture frames they painted!
