For the One Tiny surprise Thing swap, I altered a 4-inch kitchen matchbox.
From my old job I got a real blueprint and glued it to the outside to make things interesting.

a snip of one of the matches became a flowerbox, from which cascades green thread and tiny tufts of yarn.

this is the first floor with fridge, stove, table, chair, vase,  hatrack, and stairs. Oy, the stairs were epic fail after 3 attempts with glue to harden the cardboard, serious scoring, and even trying to attach them to a thin wood 'base' at the back. they simply did not want to stay in their shape after I made them.
the vase came out ok, tho, just a teeny shell with more fake flowers from the window box.
hatrack is one side of a hook and eye sewing notion. Hat is make out of fake pink leather, blue feather on it from that yarn also.
chair and table are individual construction, glueing tiny bits of bamboo onto white cardboard.
Wallpaper courtesy of LadyBugsandBumbleBees, just up and mailed me a package of goodies 'cause she's like that....
rug is acrylic sweater.

second floor, bamboo ladder (every time I cut another rung, and it was too long, I'd exclaim out loud "THAT'S too long??!!" i did not think anything could physically be cut smaller.)

sofa is just a rolled up piece of fabric, following an original idea of wanting it to look futonish. dont know if it does...  bookcase was a blast to make but each time I colored and cut a tiny bit of bamboo to be a book, it basically shattered under the pressure of my scissors. i then turned to my xacto blades.

third floor is bunny's art studio. I took a pushpin and cut off most of the pin part. that is the table. I made a palette from thin foam and a brush from a quarter of the threads in a jute garden string. I colored the long end black then glued it to be a stiff handle. the other end I left brown and just fluffed out with a needle to be the brush end.
the mess sink is just folded aluminum foil.
easel was a challenge, too. did not have internet access the whole time I was making this. usually, I google what something looks like but had to go on memory of what an easel looks like.
it was hilarious to be working on a tiny accessory and suddenly look down and it was gone . Not in my lap, not on table or floor. so tiny is just plum disappeared!!

This is amazing!!! It's so detailed! I love the little window flower boxes, I think that's my favorite bit. I also love the various furniture and appliances, and the portraits on the first floor. Smiley

I am the proud recipient of this wonder. And every time I look at it I see more things. The portraits on the first floor and the coat rack. The book shelf, the tiny tiny ladder and the studio paintings and details. Blu, I know how easy it is to lose things, but usually they are a bit bigger in my world. You did awesome!

This is incredible! My mind refused to register how small it was until I saw the hat rack!! I think my favorite part is the seashell vase. Cheesy Or all the wee paintings in the studio!
