This is my Under the Sea themed hoop for the April hoopla along.  I got the pattern on Etsy

I used a back stitch, a chain stitch, and a few french knots to complete the project.  I LOVE the look of the chain stitch but am not as impressed with the back stitch on the sea shells...  The chain stitch is so easy if you use the cheater method that I think I will try to incorporate it into more pieces...

Thank you!  The pattern pack I bought came with a ton of other sea creatures so I may stitch up a companion hoop if I ever find some extra time!

I LOVE this! Your stitching is so awesome. It's too funny, I bought these patterns too! I am doing this guy but without the shells. We are just too cool for school!

That is so funny that we bought the same pattern pack!  I almost omitted the shells too but decided not to when I was tracing the pattern.  Now I wish I had.  Can't wait to see how yours turns out!

I think it turned out really pretty and thank you so much for the link to the better way of doing chain stitch.  I am so grateful as I really used to hate it.
I love the blanket stitch eyelashes.

Doing the chain stitch that way is a so EASY!  Goes super fast too!
