Oh wow, what a great question! I'm spinning on a Kromski Fantasia and I love it (fun fact: I always accidentally call it my Kromski Fangtasia because I'm a huge Sookie books fan!). Mine's a newer, modern model, but I love the look of traditional wheels. Maybe a vintage Ashford of some kind- I learned to spin on an Ashford that was older than dirt, it has a special place in my heart.

Oooo....i think it would be a Country Spinner for me too. All the big beautiful art yarns I see being spun on them makes me drool. Smiley

Oh, I think I might have spun on mine last weekend at MDSW!  I always keep an eye out for right-flyer saxonies, because they're so rare and I know I'd need a right one as I already twist that way sometimes on upright/castle wheels. Carolina Homespun had a 30" right flyer Schacht-Reeves (which, incidentally, is also one of my friends' dream wheels), so I finally got to try a right flyer saxony and it was wonderful... (my husband agreed too!)  But it's *the* most expensive of the major wheels.  (Lendrum also makes a right-side flyer saxony, but has a years long waiting list, and I can't justify a custom wheel yet, though I could probably get one for about the same price as a Schacht-Reeves.)

To answer my own question,  I'd love to have a great wheel. If only because I find the two I have fit the bill nicely already (and even better when I finally get the Overdrive for the Aura)  I've spun on one, and find it really mediative, something about the slow but efficient method.

I don't know that I have a "dream" wheel. At least not anymore. I have always wanted a Kromski and a month or two ago I got the Kromski Symphony, which I love. Now, though, I still think A Kromski Sonata would be nice. Oh, and if I find I like making bulky or art yarns the Ashford Country Spinner would be nice.

Girl after my own heart  Grin  Mine is a Kromski Sonata.  It's the first one I've ever spun on and it felt so... natural.  perfect... just.  sigh.  haha.  I currently have an Ashford Traveller that's driving me a little crazy!

What does everyone else spin on?

I should be able to send this weekend!  woohoo! Wink

oh bummer.  I hit a snag.  I mixed up my colors and dyed the wrong fiber with the wrong colors. Sad

I ordered new and I'll keep these.  It's sorta a good thing I guess, because I love my new idea for what I'm sending... so maybe it's for the best, haha.

Eep! No snags!  Glad you have a few days left, Honeyd!

I'm still debating wether or not to give this mix another run though or not... That's about the only reason I haven't sent yet... I'm undetermined if I'm finished or not!

The epoxy I used to build my blending board should be cured tomorrow, so I can go ahead and finish up my last bit of making for meleriffic before sending out!
