For Christmas last year my girlfriend gave me a coupon for a glassblowing lesson, and I finally got the chance to use it.  I made this ornament (with a little help from the instructor).

When I picked out the colors I thought it would be all blue and clear, but the mix turned out to have yellow and pink and green in it as well.

I really like how it swirls together at the top.  Smiley

That's beautiful and amazing! I've always been fascinated by glass blowing. Is it difficult?

Thank you!  I didn't think it was that difficult, but the instructor did the hardest parts - he pulled the molten glass out of the kiln at the beginning and attached and cut the strand of glass that formed the hanging loop .  I got to add and fuse the colors, inflate it, cut the ornament off the pipe, and curl the hanging loop over before it solidified.  And any time I needed three hands - for example, you have to constantly turn the pipe while you blow - he helped with that.

So pretty! I love the blue color and I think the addition of the pink and yellow worked great! The light it casts is lovely.

Great job! Mine came out lopsided when I tried. I can do smaller stuff but the larger ones are hard..

I took a glassblowing class in college and it was not as easy as the skilled folks make it look. Great job on this! My first project which was to be a cup ended up looking like a baby bootie lol
