love these dolls, I only hand sew though do-able for a hand stitcher? I guess I'm probably fairly newbie too as they are a tad different to sock monkeys

I was in the first Black Apple Doll swap and I remember that the dolls came out quite small and was a little difficult to turn inside out.  The pattern states to enlarge 150%  I think it might be better to enlarge them 200%-300%.

I agree, Mamarose. I like to tweak the pattern a bit too -- make the legs and arms a bit thicker.

I'll have to remember to make the pattern a little bigger as I haven't yet made the black apple doll before. Wink  I have made other ones that are tiny & they are very hard to turn. So I get my turner sticks not probably right name but it's a stick with another plastic tube, one goes in the other with the fabric between them. You probably all know this, but it sure does help to turn the small things!  Cheesy

When you have your pattern the size you want, just trace the lines for the arms and legs a fraction wider as that's what's difficult to turn.  Also enlarging the pattern more than suggested will also help.  I suggest making it at least 200% larger or even more than that.  I don't know if you can use your computer to enlarge patterns.  Even if you could I wouldn't know how as I'm tech-challenged. I usually go to Staples and enlarge sections at a time. I only made this one time and made it 150% and I had a hard time with it.
