I keep splitting/straining the inner thigh seam on my jeans (I have very large thighs).  Any tips or ideas for how I can mend/reinforce it?

One thing you could do is turn them into jodhpur/riding pants (or even a motocross style pant), which you would add another piece of denim or fabric to the thigh area.
