Thanks for the love on the Strength and Trust Flags!

I lost my mom to cancer when I was 10 (she was 42). I feel loads of feelings for you alwaysinmyroom and, although it's super-fresh, hope that with each day things get easier.
It doesn't matter what age you are when you lose your mom...it's still a hard blow to take.

I'm extremely happy you love your flags! If they've lightened your load in even the smallest way, I've done my job.
Take care, awesome lady!

I am sorry for those who have lost their mom. I can't imagine. But I'm not as close to mine as I wish that I were. Sometimes it's hard to connect, we're so different, yet so alike.

...

On a cheerier note though... I received from cmarion3 today. These flags are just beautiful. If I do this swap again I will do them more like this, more as they should be I think. The ones that I made ended up being more like little art quilts than ethereal flags. Wink

She "put a bird on it" for me. The first is titled "Sandpiper". You can see him hidden amongst the brush. I just made a TM patch with a little sandpiper on it for myself. This is so perfect for me.

The second flag is titled "Finch". Again, a piece that is beautiful and so perfect for me.

I absolutely adore these flags and intend to hang them on my studio wall for inspiration. Thank you for your hard work and creativity. It is much appreciated.

Those flags are beautiful! I love the birds and the scenes you chose for the flag cmarion3!  Cheesy

Blair, I agree that it doesn't matter how old you are to loose your mom. Even after all this time I still miss her. We were almost the same age when we lost our mothers. Cancer is such a terrible disease!  Embarrassed

You ladies are the sunshine in my crafting life and I want to thank you for that!  Kiss  Kiss HUGS!

So glad you love them artsycandice. I love that part of the country and I love birds...great fit. I also love swaps where you receive and item done in a completely different style than your own.....it delights me and opens up possibilities. So, I am really enjoying the mini art quilt/prayer flags. They are beautiful and different that what I would do for myself! Wonderful.

And all the flags that are appearing here give so much joy. And great ideas too.

Ethereal is the perfect word to describe those flags!

I love the muted colors and the bird images...lovely work.

This is one of my favorite swaps, too. But I don't love it more than dark chocolate....
