I made this bolero jacket from a suit coat I bought at my local thrift store. I loved the colors--rich browns and oranges with gold thread intermixed, but the style was not me at all! This is what I came up with:


And the back:


I modeled the jacket on another one I own, but incorporated pieces of the original jacket design. For example, the princess seams on the front were on the back of the original. I also used the original lining to line the new jacket (the gold thread is a bit scratchy!). I wore it with the animal print dress to a friend's wedding. Here it is on me!

The shape is very modern and flattering!  You have a good eye for color--it is lovely on you!
