I made this dumpling pouch for a swap I participated in. I was sad to send it away, I really love how it turned out!

I wrote more about it on my blog http://hugsarefun.com/dumpling-pouch-swap/

The pattern for the dumpling pouch is free to download. http://keyka.typepad.com/my_weblog/2011/08/lets-make-dumplings-free-zip-pouch-tutorial.html

I have 100's of basted hexies I've done, but have yet to make anything with them. Did you make like a hexie fabric slightly bigger then the pattern pieces? I can't wrap my brain around how you made the pouch out of hexies. It rocks, I really like the colors and the fact that they are all different.

I have over 1000 hexies that are destined to become a quilt but I keep starting other hexie projects instead.  Cheesy
I attached them together into a large sheet and then attached interfacing and cut the pattern out of the sheet I made. Does that make any sense?

Perfectly thanks. The idea of a quilt even a baby sized one seems daunting. I do enjoy basting them to the papers. I bought a hexie punch and I make my papers from junk mail now instead of buying them. I also read it helps to punch  a hole in the paper prior to basting them for ease of removal later.

I bought the punch too, it makes things so much easier! I haven't had trouble getting the paper out but I heard about punching holes too.
I'm making a hexagon iPad sleeve right now as well as a hexagon table runner. If I didn't keep switching up my projects I could probably have the quilt finished by now...
