I made this for the current hoopla swap "places". My partner expressed loving coral reefs and tropical fish. So, here it is. I had trouble in the beginning narrowing down which fish to use. Doing an online search of tropical fish revealed a staggering amount of colorful fish. I settled on this group, and even didn't do several that I had intended to do because once I got into it I realized I'd bitten off quite a chunk in attempting all the detail. But alas, I completed it and it has been well received.

Lovely fish and all quite recognisable for their different species.  Well done.

Wonderful detail stitching on the fish, and I love the way you did the coral reef in tiny-but-thick stitches the same color as the fabric which gives the background dimension without overwhelming the subjects.  And just the right amount of fish --- any more and it would have started getting crowded, plus this way the viewer can really take in all those wonderful elements.

Beautiful hoop - I love the way all the elements look together; it was really well designed! Great satin work as well.

This is great! I love the contrast of the fish on the blue fabric.
