abbee - could have fooled me with the spray technique - it looks awesome either way.

I recieved the most amazing block printed fabric from edelC!! I am blown away by her jaw dropping carving skills. I mean, just take a look at these:

Amazing, right!? I think I am just going to put some of these in a hoop and hang them on my wall- they are perfect just the way they are.

Thank you so much edelC!!

Hah, I was confused for a second because I forgot there was the option for two partners.

LOVE that tree and bird fabric from EdelC! So much carving!!

yup a lot of carving, the tree/bird fabric is the largest piece I have ever printed, it is close to a yard long and over a half yard wide...each print was near an A4 size...many hand cramps before I had finished cutting that out..but it was fun!

thanks guys for the compliments on the other fabrics, the fern/feather print is based on a design by my daughter. It was a little frustrating, because I carved it before I got my new (as yet untried!) microcutters...can't wait to try them...

the orange fabric is a little bit special btw..I was in bangkok a few years ago (on the way back from Australia) and the local supermarket sold monks robes, they are a set of various pieces of orange fabric that are presumably draped in lots of different ways. Not being a buddhist monk, I didn't ever wear them! but they make a great base on which to print. I couldn't decide between the black or red, so I did both!

not sure if it is appropriate to mention this here? ([please delete mods, if not)  but I am sitting surrounded by cushion covers made from fabric from the first round of this swap...I would love to add to them, so if anyone out there fancies a personal swap, pm me please...
