It's been ages since I posted new projects here,  but I've still made lots of amigurumi over the last few months. I thought I'd start with the project I've completed most recently, a set of three Roman soldiers. From the same basic pattern they have three different types of armour, two different helmets, a sword and a cloak.

I've always liked Roman history - I live in Britain so evidence of the Romans is all around, not least in the only straight roads around here! I also live quite close to a couple of Roman villas (with beautiful mosaic floors), and I've enjoyed visiting them with my kids, especially when they have re-enactors in great costumes to chat to. I was also inspired to make these because I'm a fan of Doctor Who, and I really liked the storyline with Rory, who, for timey-wimey reasons, ended up being an immortal Roman, called the Last Centurion.

They all look great!  I especially love the helmet on the first one.
