I had a pair of rescued wooden kitchen chairs. They came from someones cheap kitchen set and were wobbly and stained. I cleaned them up and recovered the seats, but they still did not fit anywhere in the house. We have no light pine furniture anywhere.

So, to go in our new guest bedroom, I painted them pale green and covered the seats with a patchwork of silk scraps. Very elegant and country at the same time! I like the look and now don't have to set them on the curb for someone else to cart away.

And the original....I forgot to take a before picture so I Photshopped it a bit.

Fancy, fancy.  Silk scraps are a nice touch.
