This is a project for part of my college course where we had to sew a corset and skirt in the theme burlesque.
There was a lot of work involved in the corset but I'm pretty pleased with how it came out. It looked awesome on the catwalk too!  Smiley

Let me know what you guys think!

Crocheting is like prostitution.  First you do it for love, and then for a few close friends, and then for money.  Maybe that is why they call us Hookers?

Oh WOW!  Shocked  Shocked  Shocked

Its absolutely gorgeous and it certainly looks good on the catwalk. Do you have any recommendations for patterns or resources, because making a corset is something I've always wanted to try.

Also, is the catwalk at the Birmingham NEC fashion, ebroidery and stitch by any chance?

Thank you so much! Well I drafted the corset pattern using "metric pattern cutting for women's wear" by winifred Aldrich which is a brilliant book. I used a bodice block with my measurements and adapted the shape. I'm sure there are commercial pattern available for corsets but the fit will be infinitely better drafting it yourself. Don't be afraid of it if you haven't tried pattern cutting before, it's not as hard as you'd think! The best thing would probably be to find yourself a corsetry course to get a proffesional finish.  Feel free to DM me questions if you get stuck or need advice!

And yes it is! Did you go then?
