Here is my latest page for my recipe scrapbook - - these are the cookies my G'ma loved and loved to make - - I scanned her handwritten recipe card to use and also put her personal tip (use chunky peanut butter and omit nuts!) on the yellow banner below the recipe.

It should also be noted that the cookies are photographed on a 3 tiered platter that my mom "purchased" using S&H Green Stamps in the early 60's - - one of my most prized posessions!

Such a heartwarming project on so many levels. Smiley

Have some of my mother and grandmother's recipes and would cherish saving them like this. Also I remember going to the Green Stamp store with my mom to redeem them in the 70's. It was always a fun outing for us cause we felt like we were getting something for nothing. Think I was the only one who liked licking the stamps into the books. Smiley

How special to use the handwritten recipe in this! What a great keepsake. You should really print these and make a cookbook! They are so cute.

Congrats on being featured in the 'best of' list for 2014!!

I'm late to the party but I have to remark on this layout. First, I love that you used her hand-written recipe card. This makes it really special. Just think generations from now when they see this how neat it will be to see her actual handwriting. Priceless.
Second, I love the color scheme, buttons, the gingham and the frilly lace. It really makes me envision ladies in aprons baking cookies!

I love seeing your layouts. I mainly do pocket style scrapbooking but seeing your layouts always makes me want to make full page layouts. Hope to see more.
