I love that piece Kosmicgirl! There are such awesome deep sea critters out there.

I am glad that you like the card Amaranth_in_oz. The image obscures some of the graphite details so I'll share my picture. Sometimes there is nothing like a good-ol' pencil to get the job done. Wink

Woo, love the critters! And shoebills are just about the coolest birds ever. Well, okay I say that about a lot of birds, but they're up there. Smiley

Sorry artsycandice, I don't have an awesome camera. Sad Sometimes the images come out sometimes they don't. I stared at that card in awe for ages! I wish I could draw like that.

I'm sorry it took me so long to post this. I am swamped with a couple of big swaps right now. But... here is the "scrowl" that I received from Helcura. It did not photograph well, but the ink is silver and shimmery. It is very pretty. Thank you! And... it came with a handmade card and envelope, that I did not photograph, of course. Wink

Check out this cool collage card I got from CDEeeek for my found objects theme!

I love that I keep discovering things I hadn't noticed before! One of the little signs was detached, and I'm not sure where it goes so I haven't attached it yet.
I especially like "don't dawdle".  Smiley

I am glad you like it ChameleonHound. It was quite the challenge for me. The watch your step sign was on the coin, you can add it back on or leave it, or put it where you like on there. The idea was that we have all of these messages blasted at us telling us how and what to do, stuff littering the ground everywhere, and sometimes the world seems very stifling. But even one little corner of our world can be saved for creating beauty, even if it is crowded by daily life. I did find all of those objects on walks around our town, and the best one to me was the little shopping cart one, along with the commercial one(found by the railroad tracks, I assume it once was wrapped around something that was shipped). Anyway, sorry it took so long to complete, but it was a mission!

First up, I'd just like to make a quick apology for how shamefully long I've managed to leave it before posting these - a lot of stuff came up at once for me, arguments with my computer included, and I just completely lost track of time.
With that out of the way though, check out the beautiful cards I received from jo_mama and artsycandice!

When I opened this card from jo_mama my mum and my sister assumed it had come from somebody I know personally because it's very very "me"! I love the neat sort of batik-y colours and the clever use of white line art.

When I chose blackwork as one of my themes I thought about adding a note that drawn versions were perfectly acceptable, but artsycandice really went the extra mile here, patiently working a whole mini sampler on stiff card. I was very impressed!
(sorry about the slightly dodgy photo quality on this one - I took a few shots and apparently none of them ended up being straight on. I think the lovely handwork's still pretty clear to see though, thankfully)

Lovely cards! The found object card was well worth the wait, I think Smiley
And I love the pineapple and the sampler, too.

The pineapple is very zen. The lines are elegant.
