I've been making a quilt for each of my nieces and nephews. Here is the most recent:



The quilt is composed of 36 standard log cabin blocks in pinks and purples arranged in the "fields and furrows" or "straight furrow" setting. The fabric came from sheets I bought at a nearby thrift shop. The center of each square is hand-tied, and the border is hand quilted:



Here it is tied up for my niece (ignore the cat hair!):



The quilt was inspired by several images in Better Homes and Gardens American Patchwork and Quilting, but this interpretation is my own! Any thoughts on a more creative title for the quilt?
