Nuts! Yarn!  two of my favourite things! Why not combine them!
"But how?" you say.  "like this" I say:

What you'll need:
Nuts. Lots of nuts.
A thread of some kind (I used Crochet cotton)
A needle
Different types of yarn, spun or otherwise
A spinning wheel or spindle

Step 1- String your nuts
Step 2- Get every yarn hooked up to your wheel.

Step 3- Start spinning and when you get to your nuts, attach them thusly:

Here, we are coming to our nut:

And here, we are bringing the string up over our nut, and the body. of the yarn:

And then wrap the thread around our nut and the body.  of the yarn.

And lastly, bring the thread back in line with the main part of the yarn.

No you ask "Well, why not just string up my nuts in line, and not just skip wrapping my nuts up like that?"
Well, Because if you you string your nuts up in line, they hammock.  Nobody want a their nuts just hammocking.
See,  Not attractive.

This method helps your nuts stay snug. Everyone like their nuts snug and safe. Like this:

Side by side.  See. that left nut's a happy nut.  The right one will shift around all crazy like.  when the yarn is worked up.

So yeah, go forth, stick nuts in all your yarn.  You'll love it.

Such a good tutorial. I'm so glad you showed up the correct way to spin a nut. I was getting ready to tie my nuts up and just have them all bunched up.

Lovely yarn! I'd love to see it knit up in a hat or perhaps a thong.

There is nothing worse than hammocking nuts!!

Now I can imagine all sorts of projects using your nut yarn...I love the candy cane look of your yarn, too, against the natural color of the nuts...

Bright colors seem to pop the nuts out...thanks for the wrap lesson...every fiber artist should learn how to wrap their nuts.

A thong?  I think there might be some danger of having a nut up your hoo-ha....or worse...

You could use it to knit a nut sack - inspired by nuttykill's sack!

Thanks guys.  I really thought it might make the best baby sweater. Especially how the pink will look on a baby girl.  And there's just enough yarn there for that, what do you think?

I think a pair of gloves or mitts would be nice, so you always have snacks on hand.

And hey, who doesn't want nuts in their Hoo-ha?

hoo ha nuts are fine as long as they're snug!

this would work up into such pretty gloves, and if you're a slow knitter like me you'll also have sustinance SCORE!

Such fab nut yarn and tute!  I think a nut sack would be the perfect pattern, though nuttycoo's idea for a thong does sound intriguing.
