Wouldnt it be cool if we swaped cds with our playlists on them?  or as many mp3s as we can fit on a cd?  I think this would be awesome, essp if we had it so everyone sent to everyone (limit the amount of people in the swap) I think we'd all end up with so much new and different music our heads would explode.

I want to organize a swap like this maybe in August.  any interest?

I think so -- although I'm not sure the world is ready for my bizarre collection of music (just that I listen to a ton of different stuff....)

me too! which is why it seems so fun, to get just a huge variety of music!  It would be the best with bizarro music collections!!!

I think an mp3 CD packed would be great!!!

I think it would be really important to have a big mixture on them though (not too much from the same artist or album) though and have the track info be complete and accurate so people can look for more stuff based on a song they really like.

My playlist is over 11 gb so the whole thing would be impossible.

Woah, and I thought my playlist was big, its tiny compared to yours, only 2.45 gb, 647 songs.

I don't think I would be able to burn my entire playlist for multiple people though.  Maybe I could burn the whole thing onto mp3 cd's, and sending each one to a different person?

CD#1 ------->Person #1
CD#2-------->Person #2
CD#3-------->Person #3  etc...etc.....

I was about to hit post, and had an idea, I could hit the shuffle button(instead of the songs just being in alphabetical order) that way each person would get some of everything.

I moved to the UK for a year and I couldn't take my giant CD collection with me so I burned it onto my computer.

Also, some music software has the ability to make playlists that are a certain number of songs but randomly selected from the main library. This could work as well.

I was thinking they would be data Mp3 discs, that way you could put about 150-200 some mp3s on a disc and send away.

Man you guys got some big playlists!  Mines so small since my computer frequently crashes, but now I got a new one! yay!

I have an idea that I am pretty sure would work if anyone is interested.  You can set up a .mac account.  It is about $100 a year,  and there is a free 60 day trial available.  Anyway you can set up an on line file account where you can store large files in a folder that can be accessed by friends through a password.  We could pick out playlists and put them in a folder that the other people could access.  This would be about the only way I could do my playlist since I have over 26 GB.  Let me know if anyone is interested.
