I love Connecticut and the fact that people leave stuff on the curb for anyone to pick up. I discovered this drawer in a very worse-for-the-wear dresser. It looked to be a drawer to organize workshop screws, nails, etc. I saw a place to display some of the treasures I have received from crafty craftsters.

Here's a detail. It was painted dark green with some black over painting. Scrapbook papers were used for the background.

Long view, look at all the goodies:

That is a pretty good dumpster diving/curb to re-purpose! I like the way you decorated it with your knick knacks!  Smiley

what a great find... it is so long! Love what you did with it! What room did it end up in?

Thank you. It hangs in my craft room, which is one of the 4 rooms on the main floor of our house. It's visible from the doorway, so it distracts you from the slightly chaotic rest of the room. It was a great find and at first I was looking at it horizontal, but the spaces were not right, then I set it down vertically to get it out of the way and the rest was easy.

Oh it was meant for holding my knick knacks! It just had to wait until I found it in a dresser in very bad condition by the side of the road. The drawer was surprisingly in good condition. Such a poor lonely life it had till it found me. Is there a Furniture Rescue Society (FRS) anywhere?

I am happy to see the Inchie house I made for you displayed on one of the shelves!

I wish I could find something usable on the side of the road!

Ah, you caught that! I love those little inchie houses and it's hard to find a place to display them, so I made one! The only problem is it is full! I'm on the look out for another great find.
