I'm currently stitching some mini frames onto 14 count plastic canvas for some of my tiny stitches.  Nothing fancy, just simple geometric patterns onto 14 count which I plan to back with felt once I've stitched in the embroidery.  So many of the little mini kits have microscopic bits of fabric and I'm not prepared to just discard them so these little frames mean I can either make up ornaments to give away to folks as the fancy takes me.

I do quite like the idea of piecing them together into a patchwork though

I either give mine away as gifts or give them to charities that use them. In regards to the charities though I usually make bookmarks or if they have a theme a bigger item that they put into quilts.
