I'm a big fan of pokemon, so when i found this big piece of wood i knew I had to paint my favourite pokemon Ampharos on it. I've never painted on wood this way before so it was a bit tricky for me, but i'm really pleased with how it turned out.



You can see I still have to trim the extra wood off the bottom!

Your painting looks very cool against the wood grain, neat effect!  Did you do any kind of priming underneath before you laid down colour?
