Just showing off my husband's historical racing model work.  Here's a 1:24 scale figure of auto racing manager Alfred Neubauer which he sculpted in the computer and had 3D printed, then molded, cast, assembled and painted:

He is awesome!  I have an interest in F1, so I find his models extra neat!  The painting job is really fantastic!

This is stunning.  Your husband is very talented.  It looks quite fragile though. Do you keep it under a glass dome?

He just finished it today, but he'll probably not put a dome over it,  we both generally leave our stuff out to gather dust.   Tongue  He did this model mostly as a promotion for selling these figures through his business Immense Miniatures, so the photo is as or more important than the actual model.  If he plans to enter it in a model show, he'll probably store it in a plastic bag.

I showed it to my Dad (83) and he got super excited.  He loves F1.  He would have ordered a complete set of all the champions on the spot.  I explained you guys are just starting up, and you don't have all the champions.  But are y'all going to sell them as finished figures, or just for the slot car guys to paint them?

Thanks, kittykill!  Glad your Dad likes the figures, suereal.  Cheesy We plan to just sell them as kits because finishing them takes so long nobody would want to pay enough to make it worth while for us to do it.  You should buy some for your Dad and finish them for him.  Wink  Most of the figures are meant to go in cars, of course, so are in a driving position, not standing like Neubauer.  We plan to do more standing trackside figures, but so far the demand has been for driver figures to go in cars.  It takes a couple months to bring each figure from sculpture to final product, so the product line is limited at this point. We're in production on driver Dan Gurney. The next driver will be Juan Miguel Fangio  "El Maestro".

Here's the Dan Gurney head set computer model:

Hey, heh. You took me back in time!

Some of these custom costumes are mine  Grin 8" Action Figures.

I did not do the actual sculpts...just the clothing...but this might give others ideas for the detail and painting for the heads. I worked closely with the artist {also a male} for these.

Hubby did a great job on his. It is hard to tell the scale. But the 1:24 is really cute!

Socko!   Cheesy

1:24 is the largest scale we make presently, but plans are to eventually branch out to pilot figures for model airplanes, which are a larger scale, closer to action figure size, I think.
